We are having glorious weather. We had a great day in the community garden yesterday finishing off more garden plots, helping nebies and enjoying the sunshine. I spotted this in my own garden this morning. I guess our winter has not been too nasty...

More rain expected this weekend!

Spectacularly wet! 9" since the beginning of the year!!!

I could not figure to edit that post with the photo above. That is at least 3' deep water, the errosion fabric is over 3' tall and my hubby walked out up to his waist to get photos! That's a LOT of water, but unfortunately, not a lot of plants :(

Does that mean the Georgia drought is officially over?

Our snow is due tomorrow night (Sunday). I thought the El Nino pattern would bring more snow this winter, but it's stayed south of us. I pity you folks on the East Coast today!
It's about 40 here, sunny, the calm before the storm. Ground is still frozen, so there's no chance of sowing anything yet.

So far this weekend, the rain gauge reads 4"

I think we traded weather patterns with some other zone, cuz it's been unusually nice for this time of season in PNW..
today was perfect to work outside..no rain, no threat of it and temps in the 50's...by now it's flood season..no one here can understand it but sure do appreciate it.
raised beds got covered up, late this afternoon..and will stay that way till planting time.

Spring is in the air, finally. I can't wait!

With apologies to all the cold areas in the country, the weather here in Pasadena, CA is great this weekend!  Mid 70's yesterday, low 80's for the next few days!

Cool air but the sun is shining in Central Texas :)

Last few nights there has been frost on the ground. Interesting, since it hadn't frozen since the new year. Fortunately, the only plants damaged where some volunteer mustard greens (that I don't like very much anyways.).

Hate to sound like a broken record but snow again today. Man, it is gorgeous though!

1/4" of rain overnight!

Getting ready to rain again here. Not so great for me, personally, because this is our do-or-die build-a-chicken-coop weekend!

Snow, again. At least it's pretty this time around - but very slick. Chris has been out on 3 crash calls today already (he's on the fire/rescue squad) and one was head-on car versus semi. So far everyone has walked away ok - hope it stays that way.

it's calling for possible snow/rain mix for central tx in the next 24 hours, was planning on building fence if it had dried out enough but the weather may have shut that idea down ....again.

Nasty, cold, raining and snowing and everything in between. It's been this way all weekend, but tomorrow is supposed to be 50 degrees and sunny. Typical weather for my area- it can't decide to be Spring or Winter. This usually goes on for several months, with the warm spells getting progresively warmer, but with cold snaps in between.

Uhhh...it's snowing here in Houston. Again...

A good 5 inches of white fluffy snow....snow ball type stuff.

Sun has been out, snow almost melted...good moisture.

More snow - big fat flakes coming in nearly sideways with the howling wind. Another car accident to tend to - but everyone walked away this time!

Cold, dark, gray, and raining. What happened to spring?

We had an amazingly mild winter. Only one day of snow in early December and all of our April bloomings arrived in February! My Mason Bees hatched this past weekend, and then it dropped from 10C to freezing and snowed. Yikes! The temperature is supposed to go back up next week, I'm hoping that the bees made it through...
