About Me:
I decided to become an engineer after watching lot of anti-pollution ad placed by the Ad counsel back in the 60s and the 70's. Most memorable one was a picture of indian chief's superimposed on the video of industrial discharge tubes, billowing smoke stack spewing black smoke. And he was crying... Instead of just participating in the hippie anti-pollution calls, I decided to become an engineer. "stop bitchin' and do something about it" was my attitude.
Didn't quite work out as a Applied Physics major, remember Three Mile Island. After that all jobs related to nuclear dried up. didn't work out in chemical engineering either. Remember Bopol India where 20,000+ people died from Union Carbide plant mishap... Well the timeline isn't quite rigt but that's my answer. I'm an electrical engineer.
Worked as a star wars reseacher for nearly two years and realized it was a very bad thing and resigned my post. I now refuse to work on any defense related projects.
Interests:
Big interest in Solar power. both solar heating and PV. Carbon sequestering technology. Carbon free energy source. (ammonia based power source. NH3 has about 50% energy density compared to gasoline. Its nitrogen and hydrogen. Much easier to store than H2. only problem is its toxicity at 30?? PPM limit. LD50 ??) ammonia generation without hydrogen reformer step which generates CO2... SUSTAINABILITY BIO-DIVERSITY volunteer at a cat rescue group
